Hello, I'm
Studying network security. Building real things on the side.
I'm Sobejan Srikanthan, a Network and IT Security student at Ontario Tech University. I focus on understanding how systems are built, how they fail, and how to secure them, from the network layer up.
Outside of coursework I build real things. I run a self-hosted Proxmox homelab with a full Docker stack, remote access via Tailscale VPN, and uptime monitoring across services. I also write Python tooling to automate repetitive technical workflows.
I'm currently seeking co-op and internship opportunities for summer 2027 in network security, cloud infrastructure, or IT operations.
Real projects and lab work built to develop hands-on skills in infrastructure, automation, and network operations.
Built a self-hosted home lab on Proxmox running an Ubuntu Server VM with a full Docker stack: Homepage, Portainer, Uptime Kuma, Scrutiny, and Speedtest Tracker. Configured Tailscale VPN for secure remote access, Samba shares for networked file storage, and a Seagate IronWolf drive passthrough for persistent storage.
Built a Python command-line tool that scans a Serato DJ library, reads track metadata, and flags files with missing beat grids. Designed around a keyword tagging system using Serato's comment field and smart crates for automated library organization.
Network and IT Security Program. Currently pursuing studies in network engineering, system administration, and cybersecurity fundamentals.
In ProgressCompTIA certifications will be listed here as they are completed.
I'm actively looking for co-op and internship opportunities for summer 2027 in network security, cloud infrastructure, or IT operations. Reach out and let's talk.
